In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden group.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
